La Cena di Albino Rocca (Rosso and Rosso, Newtown): Rich, dense, quite concentrated dark cherry, touch of savoury spice, alcohol prickle. Juicy with medium plus intensity acid but feels softer than the entry level Barbera. Talc textured tannins are fruit saturated offering cherry. Long. Simple

Its a nickname of the previous owner of the plots that are now 70 years old. "Joey" fresh cherry fruit character, touch of green to it, and a bit tense on the palate. Twangy right now.
