  Poured into glasses around 30 min before serving. Clear dark garnet. The nose is a mix of mushroom/earth with some spicy red fruit. Medium bodied with a big hit of fleshy strawberry initially. Some clove/truffle secondary notes emerge on the mid palate. This shows plenty of 2005 structure and is in good fruit/acid/tannin balance. A lovely Pinot Noir with smoked salmon salad.
