Thin, all acid with little fruit or earth to add any counterweight that might help this wine approach a semblance of balance. Day 2: a slight chalkiness on the midpalate and maybe a hint of cocoa nib, but still just the overwhelming sourness and still thinner than yesterday, just all stomach acid with a funky hint of a particularly meaty burp.
A rare miss from Kermit Lynch.

Med- ruby, nose of tart cherry, sour plum, prune, black pepper, herbs, green pepper. Only mild fruit on palette. Light tannins after 8 years post harvest, med+ acid, med alcohol. Sour finish of tart cherry and pepper. Med- finish. Just hit me edit....stems is what I smell and taste?!
Just didn't enjoy. Unbalanced with too much acid and tartness for my taste. Perhaps with a filet mignon with gorgonzola butter or similar to balance acid and tartness but I'll not try again.

Spare, oak in nose, needs to breath. Sour plum, graphite, creamy vegetal nutty finish. Very different, interesting.
