In my cellar since release. Decanted 2 hours before replacing in bottle and taking to a local restaurant and decanting again. Light ruby garnet like a Pinot Noir. Very bright acidity, seems quite "old-school/traditional". Tannin mostly integrated. Rose petal, tart red cherry, minerals and hints of tar and spice. Needs a LOT of air. Also better with food, in my case venison and root veggies. Fairly long finish. Some saved to try on day 2.
Next evening this was significantly less acidic and fairly round and soft with more fruit and some earth. Reminded me of some of the Baroli I have had from the 1960’s that needed 24 hour decants. Had the last third of a bottle with a grilled pork chop and it went nicely. 92 —> 93

beautiful... unfortunately none available in the US right now or I would have bought some more... a robust Barolo, with plenty of structure to carry the fruit and spice... very very enjoyable right now... figure its in ten year period of peak

classic old school Barolo... and will benefit from another 10 years in cellar, but great now after about 3 hours in decanter... found G. Borgogno when buying some 1960's Barolo a decade ago, and have been enjoying him since... I'm sure the wine make is different but seems like the style has been retained... trad'l and able to age endlessly

Quite firm and high-acid but there is delicious dark fruit underneath with superb intensity and concentration. Tightly would and best with food.
