Friday night round 2 in the neighbourhood. Tasted blind. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow lemon colour. Thin legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of grapefruit, white peach, citrus lemon fruit, white stony minerality, cool alpine feel. Youthful. On the palate, dry, very good high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of white peach, sweet citrus lemon fruit, grapefruit, bits of green lime, cool stony minerality, alpine herbs. Long sweetish cool minerally finish. Very good quality. Now that JVIZ has mentioned it in his note, it does has reflections of Vatan high quality Sauvignon Blanc. But guessing from the alpine feels and the neutral grape varietal hint I went for Jura and Savagnin. A very nice non-oxidative example.

Another fabulous bottle. This is clearly the best cuveé in the Theo Dancer lineup to my palate. It seems a bit less oxidative than most Savagnin but was super sturdy for several days in the fridge. I continue to be impressed with the nuance and profile of this well balanced wine. Special stuff.

Elderflower, stone fruit nose, fresh pour was full of sauv blanc character, very fresh and clean, with air it becomes heavier and took on that really sweet nutty and honeyed stone fruit undertone. Shrill acid, lips puckering. Interesting to drink, and I’d even say it’s a well made Savagnin, though admittedly not to my taste

Bright and crisp, nice racy acidity. A bit simple, but this is a good & easy drinking summer white!
