A somewhat reluctant nose, though what's there is certainly typical of a lighter vintage Grenache-based wine with a few years in bottle... Light red cherry fruit, sort of diffuse - and a little dirty. More impressive on the palate, where this wine delivers a respectable performance for its $11 price tag. A tad hot / thin, but far better than I was expecting. Earthy; highish acid; red fruit; tea leaf, a little anise and peppery spice. Not one to keep around too much longer...
