A bit of PNW salmon almost always calls for a PNW pinot. So into the cellar I dug for a Premier Cuvee. This wine from an earlier vintage was the one most responsible for our growing love affair with Archery Summit - was it the wine itself, Alphonse's dulcet French twang, the Vinum Extreme glasses, or the view down the vineyards across the Valley? - or perhaps all the above. Anyway, nostalgia aside, this is really excellent right now and I do not detect any of the drop-off that others have alluded to. Dark inky red, intense floral aroma surges from the glass, quite ripe, jammy fruit in full array, lingering sweet, slightly spicy finish. It's not particularly complex but what there is is very fine.

Nice but funky. Underlying cherries and berries with some mushrooms and cedar.

Popped and poured. Thought it was very good, not an over powering pinot like more recent vintages.
