Good and food friendly, but a let down for me personally. I’ve had a memorable 07 and a 13 that sent me into orbit. This 21 is a step up from the 20 I had last year, but far from past highs. Sashi, promise me you won’t go below 13 percent abv or all will be lost. Hahahaha

Delightful Syrah, at once both very dark and very fresh, full and thick but not at all heavy, this is brilliant winemaking, I love this style.
Aromas of lavender, thyme, peppercorns, brined lemon, green stems, blueberry, blackberry, dark plum, purple vitamins, a little espresso, bacon and green olives too... lots of fruit on the palate, supple and ripe, easy tannins, beautiful full and velvety texture, bright acids are sneaky, this dark and savory but also lively and bright. Finish is gorgeous, the texture thickens to a luxurious plushness before it turns to a fresh and tangy stage, where bitter herbal and floral tones are highlighted. Primary today, this will be more interesting in a year or two, and should be worth following at least 5 years thereafter.

Green herbal scents of dill, thyme, and geranium. Floral scent of lavender and violet. Vibrant blackberry and blueberry fruit. Very briny midpalate of black olive with some herbaceous note of tobacco leaf. High acidity guides me to a garrigue-filled finish with strong juniper and black pepper sensation.
Medium plus body, relatively high acidity, low tannin.
An exemplary syrah, made in a cold-climate style.
Full of savory and briny note. Restrained fruit. Northern Rhone ringer.

I agree with Ruminstor. Blackberry, raspberry, bay leaf, juniper, sandalwood, black pepper. Nice dark flavors with excellent lift.
