Enjoyed side-by-side with the '06 Felsina Rancia Chianti Classico. Both lovely. The Brolio had an extra subtle dimension to it that gave it the edge. Delicious with Sicilian pasta norma (baked eggplant and tomato with a pinch of red chili pepper).

Still good, maybe better two years ago.

The structure has become appealingly gentle but the roasted dark fruits are getting a tad tired and flabby. I’d finish these in the next year -2018.

Beautiful warmth on the gently expressive bouquet on this relaxed, inviting sangiovese. Paired perfectly with eggplant pizza.
