  • This was a pop and pour that I bought at Bar Duoro in London. The nose is polished and robust with dark red cherries, black raspberries, cranberries, blueberries, crushed rocks, plums, a bit of bitter chocolate, licorice, violets, currants, spice notes, and a bit of raisin notes. This has excellent complexity, but it does lack some depth. The Full-bodied feel is plush and refined with medium acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. I don't have much experience with Portugese reds, but this is really good. There is a clear boldness and richness to the fruit, but it still has balance. I can see it getting better with a few more years to let the tannins round out a bit more.
