  Very young, juicy and ready to rip Barbera. Be great with food

  A bit blowsy and brash, but the purity is captivating, this is banger Barbera. Aromas of dark fruit preserves, mainly cherry, but also blueberry and blackberry, plus vanilla, violets, licorice and petrichor. Tangy and juicy on the palate, intense fruit is the focus, mineral and herbal tones accent the very ripe fruit, and the acid wraps around everything to freshen the finish, there's also a little rough tannin here, probably from oak. A bit straightforward, but the intensity and purity are captivating. I would drink it over the next few years, as I would want to take advantage of its primary fruit, though it may mellow a bit in time, and become more appealing to some. I like its raw intensity right now...
