  • Well past its prime.

  • Medium ruby, with browning fading edges. Some depth on the nose with hints of dark florals, red cherry, yet intensely spiced with cloves and even coffee hints, then a bit of mushrooms. Medium bodied and surprisingly quite some tannins, whilst with a bit of redcurrant flavours, then mocha, pepper, and fungals. Medium length, and fairly complex. Pretty nice, but unexpected for Pinot to be that tannic, heavy, and intense

  • I find this wine have quite intense and concentrated flavours. Even though this is not the most elegant style a Burgundy red can have, it is not bad. For the price of less about US$35, I think this is a good buy and will buy a few more bottles.

  • This is a beautiful example of red wine made from the Pinot Noir grape in Chassagne Montrachet usually better known for its white wines.

The color of this wine is a medium garnet. The nose has a perfumy oriental spice mixed with scents of red berries and plums with a sweetness of casis. The taste is medium in intensity with flavors of plums, red berries, red cherries and spice in almost creamy like package. The finish is medium on spicy plummy fruit.
