New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Clear light red. More blueberry on the nose along with very nice florality and anise. Light to medium bodied with a lovely long soil base. Subtle brambly blue fruit, lower acidity than the Gibbston, but a penetrating, dry finish with whole cluster signature that will take 3-5 years to resolve. Excellent potential but behind the first wine in harmony and mid-palate depth.
