Ruby colored with very little thinning towards the edges. Low opacity. Pretty intense nose of piney ripe red fruits, cola, tar and a touch of tea. High/Medium high acidity with mild, chalky tannins expressing horizontally on the tongue. Te fruit is ripe, pure, young and forward. Cherry and cherry cola. Very pleasant.

Beautiful nose, rich, forest floor, musk, strawberry. Palate is concentrated and complex. A bit fizzy and tart ok the palate, tannin not super prominent next to the concentrated fruit so felt a bit unbalanced to me. Beautiful nose and flavours, maybe a bit of time for the mouthfeel to improve for me? Still quite enjoyed

App: medium ruby. Nose: medium intensity. Aromas of sour pickled cucumber, ripe dark cherry, red plum, violet, cinnamon and sweet spices, quite fruit forward. It’s developing. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium tannins with fine and smooth texture, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity, red plum, chocolate, hawthorn. medium plus finish. Very good new world wine. Fruity, intense with some complexity. The alcohol is a little high esp on the palate but still balanced by the acidity and depth of fruits. Some stalks seem to be included to add a little freshness.

United Cellars Grand Cru Pinot Noir tasting (The four seasons hotel, the rocks, sydney): A little struck match, black hued fruits; black berry, plenty of spice and meaty underpin, jubey notes as well. Juicy tends to medium plus intensity acidity, plentiful drying slightly woody tannins, black hued fruits. Alcohol warmth intrudes slightly on the finish. Hmm, it's a little bit out of whack in the mouth...perhaps time will help

Ripe tending to baked black fruit - like a blackberry pie, sweet spice, slight cream, caramel and vanilla notes. Ripe black fruit on the palate as well with talc textured tannins, all travel long. Feels quite 'Central Otago', perhaps a bit too much of a beast for me but I'm sure time will help.
