Pulled from fridge approximately 20 minutes before serving. Very light pop on opening. Light bubbles. Shows notes of bruised apple, brioche, pear, and a touch of citrus on the bouquet. Initially I picked up flavors of brioche and ripe red apple, those mixed with what seemed to be subtle strawberry. It's definitely oxidized and maybe a little past peak. Still, good minerality almost makes up for the softened acid. Tasty but overall, nothing special for our palates.

bolder style of champagne without too much autolytic qualities. thoroughly enjoyed along with hors d'eouvres.
