  This is a beautiful deep ruby with some lightening at the rim. The nose is simply fantastic - full of sweet ripe fruit and warm baking spices. The palate shows more of the same, with additional notes of vanilla and savory herbs. There are dusty, slightly drying tannins on the finish. Initially, I worried that this didn't have enough structure to balance out the fruit, but the tannins are more apparent with about 75 minutes of air, at which point this shows best.

  This is an unusual and beautiful Cabernet from Pine Ridge. The nose was fragrant with floral scents and wild mushrooms and cherries. The taste was concentrated but not overpowering with flavors of black cherry, anise, truffle and blackberry cobbler. In a word just delicious. The finish was long on jammy fruit.
