Slow-ox 2 hours, consumed half on Day 1 and balance after Wine Preserve on Day 2. Young. Medium bodied, more gravel and earth and tobacco than fruit, more red than blue fruit. Probably my first Hafner since 2007 that wasn't as fruit forward. Enjoyed it more on Day 2. Delightful. 92+ Next time try Slow-ox for 8-10 hours - open up in the morning!

Full light tar pungent nose upon opening. Very nice legs. Rich light leather bound book color. Flavor of strong cherries w/moderate finish. Held up nicely to Brie / Pear appetizer & Mushroom Risotto entree.

Tasted this at the winery against a 2018. Definitely more complex, with intense aromas and flavor, yet balanced and mellow on the finish.

Winery sample, drinking very well right now. Tannins are integrating but the fruit and leather show up nicely.

Same notes as 9-2021, only better. More terroir, spice, integration. Aging nicely.
