Stunningly rich elixir with flavours of marmalade, lemon peel, raisins and dried prunes. While the wine is no doubt highly concentrated, it strikes a fine balance with the sugar elegantly disguised by the freshness of the acidity and crisp fruit flavours. Still quite primary, I opened this out of sheer curiosity (and for want of a more interesting dessert wine for post Christmas dinner). Would be great if I could fast forward 50 years to see what it's like then...
