14% alc...the nose is quite peppery and fresh, glaring minerality...nice structure, plenty of tannin, great acidity, delicious. I like this wine very much - presents itself as complex. I'm going back to get more, this wine could use some time to tame.

Traci and I cracked one of these to have with Rajat Parr's "Cheesy farro risotto with Tomatoes". A nice dish, we added some simply cooked sea scallops.
The wine was very nice. Nice ruby color with a fairly nice nose of menthol, red cherries, and a little smoke and anise. The texture is a little grainy/rustic on the palate but more red cherries, smoke, menthol and spice. It's not particularly deep or long on the finish but has nice acidity to keep it bright and lively. The menthol is a little off putting to me but I don't really care for that flavor profile. Nonetheless a very good wine that went pretty well with the dish. (86-87/100)

Other Reds and Whites (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had black currant, vanilla, raspberry, and a little spice. The palate was a bit tart, and had black currant, oak, spice, and an earthy finish.

Very nice deep purple color. Black currant, vanilla and a touch of raspberry on the nose.... Dry tannins on the palate. Very nice daily drinker !
