{#1 of 3 in cellar, I think acquired through trades with freinds, excellent fill and sound long GC cork} Some whiffs of good kirsch fruit but overall a fairly austere, very well crafted wine with dark red fruits and good palate presence. A wine for contemplation and swirling, not hedonistic delight, serious stuff, not quite the precision of the best Clos Vougeot, I think true to the vintage. Drink with protein-laden food like cheese or meat. Friends liked the wine a touch more than I did (I think they would give an extra point).

Good fruit right out of the bottle and young in color. Enjoyable, but even with a couple of hours of air this is more about the primary fruit, which is in good shape, but not a lot of secondaries and the overall mouth feel and finish is good but not great in my view. B+/A-

WCC Blind Tasting of Mostly Grand Cru Red Burgundy (Home of Chef Andy Plummer, East Greenbush, NY): Muted nose. Thick, silky, young. Tasty. A hint of greenness, but not enough to spoil it.
