This wine is pretty darn good. Deep dark intense flavors. There is some hot ETOH that gives it a sense of charm on top of the dark, musty fruit. It is sinister yet charming. It is intense but not a bomb. It is refined yet exhibits that Piedmont peasant character that make Barbera charming. And it's made in America.

Had this after two zins. Much darker and less of the spicy fruitness that zin has so it was a big change. Dark and deep flavors of earth, dark berry and intense.

Taking on more complexity now. Big, rustic flavors. Improved over last taste even more.
