  • Dark purple. Little roast meat & dark cherries, bitter chocolate on the nose, nice. Decent. Little light going in, but the oak, acid and tannins fill the palate with a wave of sweet dark & tart red pie cherries wash over you. Chocolate, the mocha kind are layered in there. This blend works and its a well crafted wine. Bit of alch heat, maybe the wine is served a bit warm... Tannins are tight but in balance. For a value wine this has some years ahead and will flesh out to add a point or two in the next 2 years, but great qpr now.
