An odd encounter. The first thing that struck me was the dark amber color, very similar to that of a sauternes. Nose was dominated by plum, raisin and figues. When I tasted it, I became certain that it has been severely attacked by botrytis, hence the distinct sauternes caracter. I would imagine this applies to the entire vintage.
