Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of fertilizer, Herbs de Provence, tobacco and some mixed dark fruits. Flavors of tart berries and cherries. Tart acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now.

Amazingly good considering the age. I expected less. Still quite youthful, classic Napa cab flavors, even better after being open for a couple of hours. I wish I had more!

Claret red. Still youthful with no bricking. Lead pencil nose. Lovely wine with finese and balance not often found in todays Napa blockbusters. Elegant and smooth with a long finish. Cassis with a little underbrush overtones. Cedar and charcol too. If given this blind, I would have guessed St Estephe, possibly Montrose. Its that good. A great food wine too. What a wonderful job of taming the ferocity of Mt. Veeder fruit and tannin.

Surprisingly good. The fruit was muted as expected and yet the nose exploded into many flavors. Definitely a good wine and one that surprised us.

As previous note. Restrained and elegant in a Bordeaux mould.
