Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Bottle and fill excellent, cork was soaked to the top with a little fungus. Another beautiful wine from a great domaine now gone. Attractive upon opening and growing over the next 2 hours, this wine has lovely aromatics with dirt, raspberries, sous-bois etc.. Lean and well-balaced, it was perfect with coq au vin. Poured into the big Riedel burg glasses - just breath in and enjoy. I like the 1987 Burgundy vintage for terroir and the great winemakers made some lovely nuanced wines - this was one of them.
