  • appears brownish cranberry color, smell lots of soil, soft, nice intensity and interesting nose, taste light alpine flowers at first, light fanciful berries, then as opens up, lots of cranberries, cranberry skin, and tons of dirt, even some elements of band-aids, the wine has an excellent soiled grip and lovely acid, a bottle with food goes quickly and paired nicely with bok choy sauteed with garlic and kim chi and garbanzo beans, a very different wine that I did not tire of

  • On the nose, raspberry (candy), white pepper and crushed stones. Tastes just like it smells. This leans towards rustic, and the alcohol is a little hot, but I found this compelling wine. There's something particularly interesting in the gritty aspect of the mouthfeel, especially on the finish. I would feebly try to describe it this way: It's as if a fruited mineral water lifts the tannic bite off the tongue and floats it on some meta-level of taste... Like I said, "feebly."

  • White pepper, roasted strawberries, pine needles and bug spray (who doesn't like the smell of Raid in the kitchen?) dominated the nose of this strangely compelling wine. It was lovely and energetic in the mouth with spicy red fruit and juicy acidity. The finish was a real trip with slowly fading roasted strawberries and just when you thought it was over the white pepper surged back leaving a tingling buzz as the last memory of this strange beverage. Excellent.
