Agree with previous note. Initially closed then after an hour or so, opened up to reveal lean, intense mountain fruit character. Nothing lush and smooth here. Little oak on the nose or palate, just pure mountain red fruit. Next day, even more bold and intense.

Tasting 5 Ritchie Creek Cabernet Sauvignons (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Big, rich, chewy cab, chocolate on the nose and palate, lots of fruit, supple, very pleasant, nice, pleasing, tasty finish.

11 Vintages Tasted of Ritchie Creek Cabernet Sauvignon.
Closed nose, opened to cedar nose, narrow fruit, tannic but fruity.
My #10 of 11.

Closed nose, slowly opened to cedar nose, fruity and tannic in the mouth, maybe palate fatigue as ten wines tasted today.
