The cold muted the nose, but it was rich, honeyed citrus and tropical fruits. Some almond cookies too. Full bodied with flavors of apricots, almond and some white pepper. Has a lot of similarities with a big Chard, but it has a complexity to it that takes it notch up. Really good and cool wine.

marsanne here is seemingly chardonnay in treatment. Oak treatment shows quite big on the nose in a dried grain sense, but not the cheerio singular vision. There is quite a richness of fruit in the nose(...15.2%!!!), but under the cover of big florals and minerality. light honey notes, with fennel and allspice. In the mouth, texturally, i get an impression of extraction. maybe this is where it is set apart from chardonnay. the lingering spice suggests that more is going on here than just a big dash of alcohol. A large and impressive wine.

Opened and served immediately. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of quince, Windex and yellow pears. Flavors of yellow pears, earth and bitters. Light to medium acidity, light to medium body. Drink over the short term.

Very old. Unpleasant. Perhaps good once, but no longer

Clearly past its prime. Harsh and bitter, without the pleasant fruit or floral characteristics this wine has when younger.
