nose: much different from the last time I had it as it has a more meaty component this time with smoke tones, loads of different minerals, black currants, and various black fruit tones
taste: very interesting and gamey attack with mineral laced black fruits and charr smoke tones
overall: very different overall from the last time I had this. Both times were distributor tastings, and I found this bottle a lot more interesting and appealing to my tastes. It posseses a nice black fruited finish that is easy down and lower acidity

nose: dark and ripe nose of blackberry, dark cherry, sour cranberry, and black currant tones with some mixed berries
taste: good dark fruit tones of blackberries, dark cherry, black currants, with some coffee tones and a bit of toasted oak
overall: a really nice wine. More lush and fruit forward then I'm used to from Ribera del Duero. There isn't a lot of pronounced tannins or acidity that I'm used to from the region. I like the flavor profile as it isn't over the top, but nice and easy with a good attack and mid palate, though a quick finish

Sampled at the Lake Zurich Binny's Spanish night. Funky nose of barnyard and veggies. What a surprise of silky smooth texture and velvet on the tongue. One of the winners of the night.
