Quite restrained on the nose - prune, chocolate, oak, red wine. But on the palate it is sensational with more of that prune, sultana, candied orange peel, dried rose petal, cognac. It is so much more subtle than its Rutherglen neighbours, with complexity more like Madeira, though with less acidity.

First one of these Clonakilla Muscats I have tried. A lighter style but certainly not meek, roasted nuts, caramelised figs, honey, has a subtle richness but it is all kept in check. Imagine this will develop quite nicely in the cellar, would be nice to try and the flavours deepen in time.

Great complexity and length. Chocolate, sultana, candied orange, and medicinal notes, I think it benefits from a light chilling before serving.

Raisins, honey, dried figs. Sweet and lush, has good balance and length to burn. Simple but highly enjoyable.

Wonderful nuttiness with a long finish. Enjoyed by all and cleverly crafted with the alcohol only noticed a little in the finish. The nuts.
