  Colour : Dark ruby, almost still inky dark.
  Taste : robust, jammy, elegant and balanced. Plum and fine tannins. A very good wine, after 21 years

  Color; Deep purple. – Bouquet: Blackfruit with blackberry, black plum, black cherry, anise. – Palate: Lush. Black fruits especially blackberry and black cherry. anise, some muted spice. Fully Mature. Acid in balance; tannin fully in check. Very smooth, almost silky. Fairly long finish. –– Poured with slow cook beef ribs seasoned with homemade rub (BBQ sauce passed at the table); oven fries with chopped rosemary; homemade slaw with a mayonnaise based dressing, NOT a vinaigrette. Coffee ice cream and chocolate chip cookie.

  Still had plenty of life. Great with New York Strips and fried potatoes. Typical Napa Valley in a bottle.
