Drank 23.11.2019: a very fine and elegant vine. Taste of black berries, leather, a little bit earthy, fine tannin. Opened the bottle 30 Min. bevor drinking.

I have not had alot of Barbarescos to be honest but it was a solid light to medium bodied wine, elegant and good structure, great nose, did not get much fruit though light hints of red berries layered with earth tones. Probably needs time to develop fruit intensity, should age well. High 80s.

Terroir a Confronto: Barolo & Barbaresco 2004 (Alba, Italy): Garnet, clear. Nose of pepper, roses, ripe fruit, spices, earth, soy sauce, iodine. High acidity, high level of nicely textured but slightly fierce tannins, moderate alcohol, big but balanced, savoury, long complex. Great future.

Slow-oxed for 12 hours prior to serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Pale ruby to the eyes.
Very nicely assorted red berry fruits, earthy and floral notes.
Good complexity on palate that is very accessible.
94 points.
Second round: losing fruits on palate and more tannic at this stage.

No formal notes. Drank with friends. Nice bottle medium body, well structured, with an elegant style. Wish I had more of it.
