Holy crap. I'm no fan of white Burgundy, and certainly no qualified critic, but this blew the field of needy wife and visiting importer away. So fresh and crisp that she assumed I was blinding her on a chenin blanc to get her to agree to the superiority of said. Did I mention FRESH? Like this has at least another five before you're remotely concerned? YES. Now I know that the best white Burgundy is made from Gamay...

(Montville St. Aubin Sur Gamay) COLOR-light golden; NOSE-heavy lemon peel / citrus; granny smith apple; then minerality; TASTE-what really catches me off guard is the heavy guava/mango flavors; and crazy acid on the finish; and subtle licorice on the back-end; a very distinctive Chardonnay; the tropical fruit is undeniable and the '04 vintage offers great acidity; has a little baby fat, but good complexity; very solid; GV-90

Retail bottle, held 3.5 years. Delightfully crisp, lemon and mineral, medium bodied. Wonderful Chardonnay at the table.
