Settling down, and opening up compared to 9 months ago. Refined and fresh Rosso. With good body and silky smooth mouth coating tannins. I like this style!

Giron 2nd Tasting (NK's Home): Orchids, light small berries and tainted with some cigarette ash. Delicately sweet marashcino cherries but showing intentional acidity. Has some milo powder flavours to it as well.

Tasting at NK Yong's (Swettenham Road, Singapore): Lightly coloured wine. Nose showed an interesting oyster shell note, along with sweet, sticky raspberry and strawberry jam and lightly perfumed berries - very prettily fragrant. The palate was no dainty pushover though, with a good amount of grippy tannins and fresh acid lending a nice sense of structure to pleasant red berry flavours and more perfumy notes that wafted around the mouth towards the decent-lengthed finish. Enjoyable, and may develop in the bottle somewhat.

Montalcino visit Spring 2008; 5/22/2008-5/23/2008 (Montalcino): Ruby/red colour. Full aromas of cherry and berries with hints of toast and some floral tones. Medium bodied with some fresh acidity and chewy tannins, but slightly fragmented on the palate. Medium finish. Needs some time to settle down. Potentially 88-89 pts. Drink 2009 - 2012.
