Foundation Fundraiser Dinner (Petra and the Beast, Dallas, TX): Took about an hour to open up. Beautiful and seamless aromas of cashews and almonds, mild oxidative notes, salty sea air, apples, citrus and mild toffee. Palate carries similar flavors to aromas with added minerals. Excellent texture, smooth but with power and incredible concentration. Just great.

Nine years at about one bottle per, EN10 is still going strong, clean and penetrating, spicy, savory, yeasty, overripe white fruit frozen in time. Admittedly my first, but still the benchmark Manzanilla Pasada for me.

While this is a complex manzanilla passada from EN, and the line between a MP and an amontillado is not clearly defined, I wasn't blown away by this particular bottling. Beautiful texture and quality nonetheless.

EN vertical with JB (The Medlar, London): Single blind. Ever so slightly cloudy. A bit muddier on the nose with caramel and a sense of richness. A bit shorter and flatter on the finish. Similar attack. Very good but not in the same class on this showing as (30). ****

(NV Equipo Navazos La Bota de Manzanilla Pasada 10 "1/15") Light medium amber color; rancio, sherried, wonderfully nutty nose; tasty, light bodied, light sherry, nutty, almond palate; long finish 92+ pts. (great match with our savory fish dishes)

Comida en la Piperna, sacado a ciegas.
Brutal estado de conservación, limpia, salina, delicada, yodada, elegante y muy compleja.
Espectacular.
