Darker ruby. Nose of raspberry, cherry pits, abundant florals, earth, cinnamon. Powerful but very fine-grained structure and stern tannins underlying mostly primary black cherry and mulberry fruit with some caramel. Moderate acidity. Longer finish. A very well-made wine caught in mid-adolescence.
- Purple color with medium forming legs and aromas of fig, violet and rose. It's in total harmony and has flavours of cherry and bell pepper with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish - A little weaker of a nose from the Drouhin line, but after a 3 hour decant hints of prune, fig, and floral flavors come out on the nose. The pallet is smooth, rounded, and structured. A little bit of cherry contrasts the more earthy notes. Very interesting and very enjoyable wine. Will probably age, but is drinking very well now. The decant was much needed on this wine
2006 was a warm year and some of these wines are showing signs of peaking. Recommend they are drunk soon . Very fruity on the cherry/plum flavors that you would expect from a hot year. Bouquet almost solely farmyard, leather and tobacco. Still a range full and hearty wine
