Decanter Italy Tasting (London): Ripe, ready with a good fruit aspect and integrated tannins. Tobacco on the finish. Feels a touch flat on the mid-palate and lacks vibrancy.

Ran through a vinturi and decanted for about 45 mins. Was nervous as wine made it up 1/2 way on the cork and a slight off putting scent on the cork. It didn't tasted flawed- or I couldn't notice. Notes of raspberries and chocolate with a mint/eucalpytus finish- wine was very tasty with food- not so friendly as a drink alone wine.
Over all a good wine that can still age quite a bit- but I wasn't wowed. (87-88 pts)

Decanted one hour, still very tannic with some hints of red fruit hidden below all the acidity. Don't think this one is quite ready and hoping it will improve with age like the 2001.
