  Slightly disappointed as the bottle was recommended by a shopkeeper. Chocolate, nettle, bacon fat, and black currant on the nose. Light on the palate, tannins are sort of silky but the mid palate and finish are very hollow.

  Right after opening this wine showed an awful and obstrusive nose of dung. The taste wasn't much better. Bottle seemed flawed. After 24 hours of air, the smell was largely gone, but there wasn't much of anything else. Quite thin bodied, very short finish, notes of chocolate, quite low tannin levels for a Blaufränkisch. Hard to say what this would have been like if the bottle had been ok. Probably less than 85 points.
