  Dark ruby color and still some purple at the rim!
  The wine smells completely dry, some dusty tannins and some acidity.
  It has lost any of the fruit it had earlier in live, is now full bodied and completely dry and quite robust.
  Not much complexity detectable anymore, but a good accompaniment to hearty fare.
  Has lasted well and probably well past its original "consume by" date.

  It woke up with the food and became really interesting and good to drink.
  The experts say that this wine should be drunk young; however i"m finding that
  it shows no signs of fading out but adds complexity and becomes more intriguing as it grows older. One bottle left; I think I'll keep it for another two years.

  Possibly a year or two past its very best, the acidity is not as snappy as it once was. However, plenty of red cherry, licorice and fresh earth character mean that this still has bags of charm to offer. Drink now.

  Brilliant carmine color, slightest touch of purple at the rim.
  On the nose ink, acidity, hint of cherry.
  On palate lots of mouth-puckering astringency; not much else. A bit short.
  This wine seems to be at crossroads now: It has lost it's youthful charm and fruit but not found any secondary complexity yet. Will it ever?
  Definitively needs strong food to go with it: a duck, a goose, wild boar, well hung game with "haut gout"
  At this stage I rate it 85 or 86 points

  Popped 'n poured.Still purple color, nice and intriguing bouquet. On palate at first quite intense, as it warmed, it became broader and less complex.
  Good wine; definitively needs food to go along with it.
