Light gold , wet wool typical nose but hints of honey , developed complex flavours, some residual sweetness with dry finish - will last a few more years yet

Showing a little age, but a great balance between the sweet and acid. Some stone fruits, a little raisin. An long finish. Drunk this whole bottle between 3 people and the sweetness didn't build up on you throughout the whole bottle.
Surprisingly this paired really well with fish and chips, the oily food bringing out the acidity and freshness of the wine.

Not corked this time. Amazingly light in color, in fact lighter than the Savennieres that we had from 2001, 2005 & 2006. It did have some funky mushroom aromas. While the thought of Brett was brought up, I don't feel like that's what it was, but rather what this wine was showing as secondary aromas. But it also had plenty of juicy ripe golden apple, honey, chalky mineral and a touch of white flowers. It had some RS (which is undoubtedly why this has been able to stay fresh for so long), but with good acidity to balance it out. Lots of honey and apple on the palate with a touch of citrus. Good length. Amazingly fresh for a 25 year old white.

Decades of Decadence - x6s (Tetsuya's, Sydney, Australia): Pineapple, lime, coconut and spice. Quite dry on the palate, with just a lick of sweetness showing. Mellow and well aged at this point. Medium length.

Corked. Underneath was a beautiful fresh wine, so hopefully I'll have luck with my next bottle.
