  • Medium garnet core, wide pale garnet rim. Mature, sweet nose with slightly stewed red fruit, spice, and a gamey edge. Some forest floor developing with an hour or two in glass. On the palate this is medium bodied with medium intense sweet red fruit, quite a lot of spice. It has attractive crisp acidity and reasonably integrated tannins, although there is a hint of dryness at the back end of the pleasing, lingering savoury gamey finish. Overall enjoyable if not profound, with decent complexity. Unlikely to improve - drink over the next couple of years.
