Dinner at Wimborne. Drank in Gabriel Standart. >10 years bottle age already. Had very low expectations, so this really turned out really beautifully! Appearance is clear, medium intensity, gold colour. Thin legs. Fast fading bubbles. Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of tertiary nuttiness, aged biscuity brioche toast, citrus orange, stony mineral notes. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of lovely nuttiness, sweet caramel, citrus orange, ripe lemon curd, pineapple, wet stony minerality. Refreshing long acidic finish. Very good quality. Body actually fleshing out even more with air. Aged house champagne style. Oxidative already but still well underpinned with good acidity and fleshy fruit. Drinking at peak probably. Beautiful. To be updated.

A friend brought the bottle for the Christmas dinner for fun. Mediocre as we expected. Not a quality for this price. My 7-year-old son loved the golden bottle.

It was one of the twelve wines in the CNY gathering in Jim's home with wonderful fireworks. Everybody got drunk that night but felt graceful. Thank you Jim!

Glad I had the opportunity to try this, but the price of this is purely a marketing stunt.

Medium nose intensity with notes of sea shell, mineral, red apple, toast. High acidity, slightly sweet on the palate.
