  • New Year's Eve (In memory of Charlie Trotter) (Eketahuna, New Zealand): Some SO2 noted - beautiful preserved lemon nuance with a
dill nose. The palate is gorgeous - sprightly, beautifully aged and super bright with medium sweetness. This finishes dry on 7.5% alcohol This has an incredibly complex
nose with cool climate notes. Great clarity. A touch of kerosine. I love how complex and involving the wine is while at the same time how light and delicate it appears. This is great wine.

  • Once again - Karthauserhof is unbelievable! When visited the estate 1.5 years ago, we were greeted by the Baron himself who was one of the most charming wine persons I have ever met. Anyway, the wine had pure petroleum on the nose, which apparently comes from all the slate in terroir. The balance between the acidity, freshness and sweetness is something I have always admired in Mosel Rieslings. You have to try to believe it. Get these wines if you can, every bottle is special. Cheers!

  • Green and lean and very tightly wound. A touch of earthiness, perhaps even sulphur on the nose, but this added a bit of spice - concentrated, dry and with bite, but still very young-tasting
