This was really great at the winery but somehow the bottle we enjoyed tonight was seriously lacking. On the nose, Ginger Ale... and that's it. On the palate a sweet, semi-interesting peach fruit but in the end you might get better results by fortifying the juice you get out of canned peaches. Too bad.

Irresistable hints of apple, honey, fruits. Don't try to age this for further benefit, it's fortified with grappa. It's ready now and will keep well for some time to come.

($45) Napa-Noma, May 2008: Made with unfermented Viognier juice fortified with grappa (I believe). Touch of glue in the nose. Palate is light and delicately sweet with tasty apricot and peach flavors.
