Damn it, this wine makes me retract my "I hate Chardonnay" creed. Simply delicious with firm acidity, lush mouthfeel and just the right amount of oak. Some minerality as well. Would have pegged this as French in a blind tasting.

Medium bodied, cloudy pale gold color. tropical flavors (again that distinctive coconut) but relatively clean and focused. A lot more bracing with the acid than the 2006. Finishes tart but still in the balanced range.

VLG Does Blind Pinot Noir, From Anywhere 2003-2005: Served Blind by me. I opened this 2 days earlier to pour a small glass. Showed similar. Most guesses were that this was French and there were comments about how tight it was. It is not very expressive aromatically but the palate has a nice balance. One of the more reserved LWC Chardonnays I have had.

VLG Does Pinots from 2003-2005 Blind (Jason Hagen's office): Served blind. Tight nose showing sulfur and smoke. Clean tight palate with lemon notes. Fruit becomes fuller and softer with more air. Surprisingly lean showing for a Loring.

Consistent with earlier notes and drank over dinner with other Burgundian style chardonnays. Continues to be a nicely balanced chard.
