In Carne, Capetown. Decanted and drunk across 2 hours. Blackurrant, mild pepper and increasingly leather on the nose, well integrated. Palate ripe but not overly so, and leaning towards savoury with more air. Drinking nicely and good for another couple of years. I felt quality and to an extent profile was comparable to a very good Crozes-Hermitage. ***

Color is dark, dense and has a deep red/blue tint. Black Cherry with hints of Mocca and spice on the nose. Smokey, cured ham and truffle notes. Full, rich and elegant with a long finish. This wine is ready for consumption.
