  • Bright and crisp. The Chablis minerality was there as was plenty of acidity. Fruit has faded, though.

  • Brought this bottle to a restaurant for an anniversary dinner with my wife. Too cold upon opening, and it was a bit closed down at first. It opened though. The color had really taken on a deep gold over the years. The nose was very minerally with some nice citrus. The acidity was still going strong, really balanced with the mineral fruit flavors. It definitely has some really nice creaminess on the mouth. I know Leflaive is more of a modern style producer. Really nice wine, and even though it has eight years on it, I could see this going for at least five more years. My wife ordered lobster tail with a caper-butter sauce, and it was divine with the wine. The acidity just cut through the richness of the lobster. Great pairing and a really decent corkage fee.
