  Enjoyed with some wonderful cheese, a great burger and a Notre Dame victory.
  I was pleasantly surprised by this wine given its age. Very much California style of red fruit with a little hint of "candied." Ruby red in color and with some air it began to show a richness and texture. The finish was quite good.
  If you have any left, get ready for a wonderful experience.

  Although this bottle doesn't represent pinot noir in the style I enjoy more, it is a fine bottle. . .except for the fruit flavors, more like merlot. Very smooth texture, well-integrated tannins. A very nice bottle of wine.
