  • Either this is over the hill, which other notes do not support, or it wasn't stored properly.

  • My only bottle of 2007 Camaspelo and this was delicious. Wonderful nose and palate of Syrah in my opinion. If I didn’t know the makeup varietal wise I certainly would have guessed Syrah both on the nose and the palate. Great wine and was enjoyed by everyone at the table.

  • Incredible nose that leads with a strong umami that tickles the pit of your stomach. Also strong fresh leather, spices and red fruit. Palate less developed. A bit bitter in the mid palate. Fine tannins. Med to long finish. Still seems young with a need to settle and integrate more. Three hours in the edges are beginning to smooth out a bit. PnP. Conterno sensory and then riedel somm. The latter was better. The former revealed the rough edges more.

On day 2, just corked and on the counter with an inch or so left, this is so delicious. The palate has really integrated and come together. Still that umami on the nose, though slightly less compelling than day one. A bit more heat and reductive fruit liquor on the nose. The palate though is mostly silky smooth. Nice dark fruits. Slightly bitter in the finish. Wish I could combine the nose of day one with the palate of day two. This did not last long on day two though -- somewhat falling apart quickly after a few swirls and sips. This second day was riedel somm bdx.

  • Popped and poured. I thought this was a very nice mature blend. Wish I had more.
