Not sure what happened here. Loved it 3 years ago but this bottle, despite nice fruit and great acidity, was overwhelmed by the oak. So much that it finished in the sink....

This was really good, especially for $18. Drinks like a baby Barolo. Medium cherry with rim already starting to evolve. Nose was screaming truffles, cherry, light oak and herbs. Med body, round and fresh acidity, this is your typical food wine. Needed a little time to open up. Medium finish on yummy truffles. Great stuff!

taste: very smooth and elegant feel with rounded tones of herbs, cherries, and herbal spices
overall: A very pretty barbera with class to spare. Elegant and silky with velvety texture and feel that provides a smooth attack of herbs and a polished cherry finish

Fresh leather, plums, porchini mushrooms and herbs on the nose. It shows a rich palate, with layers of polished tannins and a nice finish. - JD90
